The variety of ways kids learn is truly fascinating and with modern technology, there’s no excuse why mathematics can’t be mixed with fun games! The following collection of resources is designed for K-6 grade students. All of these links are interactive, educational, and will run on a variety of operating systems. Enjoy browsing through these games and brushing up on your math skills.

 

Number Sense and Operations

AmbleWeb Addition Machine – This site provides three varying levels for kids to practice their addition, check their answer, and beat their high score.

The Decifractatator – A great way to transform fractions into decimals by adjusting the numerator and/or denominator, or creating your own fraction.

Division Machine – From the makers of the above-mentioned Addition Machine, this division activity has three difficulty levels, an answer checker, and keeps track of your high score.

Cannon Math – This great game helps kids practice not only addition and subtraction, but helps them in the basics of angles and geometry.

GhostBlasters: Addition – This multi-player game allows kids to practice their fat addition skills by matching pairs of ghosts.

The Tables Tester – From the makers of the Addition and Division Machines, this interactive multiplication site has three difficulty levels, checks answers, and keeps track of your high score.

 

Data Analysis, Probability, and Discrete Math

Billy Bug – Students work their way through levels, determining how many times Billy Bug must eat before he is full.

CreateAGraph – This site features bar graphs, line, area, pie, and an XY graph, and a great graph tutorial.

The Ultimate Grapher – An opportunity for students to create their own colored bar graph with titles, axis labels, and adjustable values.

Probability: Spinners, Dice, Coins, and More – This site features a great variety of probability games to help students learn through cards, marbles, coins, and more.

Practicing Basic Probability – This quick-loading game provides students with a question by question format with explanations should they answer a question incorrectly.

 

Patterns, Algebra, and Functions

Spooky Sequences – A great series of ghost-related games to help students figure out sequences by banishing ghosts.

Tessellation Town – In a faraway land, there’s an island that gets mixed up every night. Only the smartest students can help figure out these puzzles and put Tessellation Town back together again.

Rags to Riches – Answer basic algebra questions correctly in series and win a (digital) million dollars!

Order of Operations – Match the math expression with its simplification using order of operations.

The FunBrain Magician – He’ll give you a math word problem to solve; if you’re too high or too low, he’ll let you know. Try to solve the problem in the fewest tries.

Algebra Math Games – This site features basketball algebra games, become-a-millionaire algebra games, and more.

 

Geometry and Measurement

Banana Hunt – This game helps students help practice their angles with the help of some friendly monkeys searching for bananas.

Estimate – This game allows students to practice estimation and see the correct answer on a variety of different scales.

Teaching Measurement – This site features length, mass, and volume teaching resources for teachers or students on their own.

The Polygon Playground – Make a tessellation, a picture, or just discover how polygons fit together. Features many different colors and polygons.

Perimeter Explorer – Learn the relationship between perimeter and area. A shape will be automatically generated with the area that the student chooses, and then they can calculate the perimeter of their shape.

 

Structure and Logic

Brain Teasers – A series of different chapters of brain puzzles for students in different grades.

Button Beach Challenge – Beat each of the three levels of logic games to reach Button’s treasure.

Jumping Math Cats – These cats love jumping; Click on a cat to jump its neighbor to reach an empty square. The “jumped” cat will be removed from the board. End with one cat and become a super amazing math cat.

Power Lines – The power cells have to placed in the right places so all the numbers add up to the power line total. Complete the eight levels and move on to Phase Two.
